BISHOP MULE DAYS 2001 & 2002 LA. COUNTY
FAIR
1st place 2yr old Jack
Grand Champion Halter
1999, 61", Black, AMA Registered Mammoth Jack. Cowboy Picasso has a calm
quiet nature, with a strong stout build. He is easy to handle, with a great
personality. Picasso is a double bred Black Bart grandson. His sire
Maynard's Midnight Cowboy is a World Champion, and Picasso was Maynard's
only donkey son. His dam, Dry Gulch Buttercup, by Black Bart, was the mother
of Southside Hotshot, who has sired more World and National Champion mules
than any other jack. If you want proven, quality linage Cowboys Picasso is
the one to breed to. In 2002, as a 3 year old, Cowboy bred 12 mares, in his
first breeding season. As a 4 year old, he bred 25 Ranch and Outside mares.
Between 2004 and 2007, Cowboy sired on the average 30 mules/donkeys per
year. A high percentage of Cowboy’s foals have the body color of the mare,
add dark black points, a black cross on their withers and some highlighting
of black over the rump...all from Cowboy. When breed to Paints and Appys,
Cowboy has sired numerous 4 and 5 colored Spotted Mules. From his first
offspring, in 2003 came the L.A. County Fair Junior Mule Grand Champion.
Several of Cowboy's offspring are shown at Mule Days and other AMA sponsored
Mule shows. |
